Meet The Dentists

Mark S. Jensen, DDS

Dr. Mark Jensen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Kansas in 1984. He then continued on to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction in 1988. Following graduation, Dr.Jensen completed a three-year general practice residency with the United States Navy Dental Corps. During this rewarding and challenging time, he worked primarily with Marines in the First Gulf War. He learned many of the skills he now uses every day by working with some of the finest clinicians anywhere.

After completing his residency, Dr. Jensen moved back to Kansas City, his hometown. In 1992, he purchased this practice from a retiring doctor and developed the theme of “Together, Dental Health for Life.” While Dr. Jensen has practiced dentistry in the area for more than 20 years (and his practice has grown tremendously), he has never lost sight of what has led to every success he has had—caring for his patients as best as possible.

Dr. Jensen has extensive training in several areas of dental care, including cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. He also continues his education in dentistry on a regular basis, maintaining all of the required continuing education for accreditation with the State of Kansas Dental Board. In addition, Dr. Jensen is a member of the American Dental Association®, Kansas Dental Association and Fifth District Dental Society of the State of Kansas. Furthermore, his practice is accredited by the Better Business Bureau of Greater Kansas City.

Sangki Yang, DDS

Dr. Yang is a very talented dentist who loves his patients and staff.  He treats each patient like a person and not a number. He always believes in doing what's right for patients and loves seeing patients out of pain.

Dr. Sangki Yang earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from UMKC, then he received his doctorate of Dental Surgery from the UMKC School of Dentistry in 2018. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental association, and he continuously seeks out continuing education and professional development for the best care of his patients. 

Dr. Yang has a special interest in oral surgery and he is an implant certified surgeon with perfectionism and detail oriented personalities that allow him to deliver the highest standard care of dentistry. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Yang spends most of his free time with his wife and cat. He also enjoys traveling and playing golf.

Benjamin Sanley, DDS

Dr. Benjamin Sanley grew up in Seward, Nebraska, and later went on to earn his degree in Pre-Med at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. He then attended dental school at UMKC School of Dentistry in Kansas City, Missouri.

Dr. Sanley knew he wanted to become a dentist after observing his orthodontist when he was 14 years old and fell in love with the profession. He enjoys life with his wife and their 9 children. During his free time, you can find Dr. Sanley golfing, fishing, biking, hiking, metal detecting, and generally exploring the city.

Dillon Trinh, DDS

Dr. Dillon Trinh is a dedicated  general dentist with advanced training in comprehensive and surgical dental care. Originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas, Dr. Trinh began his academic career at the University of Arkansas, where he earned a degree in mathematics while completing his pre-dental studies. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry.

Following dental school, Dr. Trinh was selected for an intensive one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks. This postdoctoral program provided Dr. Trinh with advanced clinical experience in treating both medically compromised and medically complex patients. His training emphasized diagnosis and management of oral and maxillofacial diseases, comprehensive treatment planning, and integration of patients' overall health with their dental care.

During his residency, Dr. Trinh gained advanced skills in a full range of dental specialties—including oral surgery, implants, periodontics, prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, endodontics, and anesthesia. Additionally, he received hands-on didactic training through seminars, rotations in anesthesia, oral surgery, and periodontics, and advanced cardiac life support certification. He provided comprehensive care alongside general dentists, specialists, hygienists, and laboratory technicians.

In his free time, Dr. Trinh enjoys playing video games, cooking at home, singing karaoke, and spending time with his Shiba Inu, Jasper. 

Amber Mills, DDS

Dr. Amber Mills is from a small town in Southern Iowa called Albia. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned her bachelor’s degree in food science and technology. Moving into dental school, Dr. Mills completed extra coursework and graduated with distinction in dental public health from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. During her time in dental school, Dr. Mills also participated in volunteer programs with dental public health groups such as the Iowa Mission of Mercy, school based sealant and education programs, and a mission trip to rural Mexico that provided education and dental care to children with limited access to dentists.

Something Dr. Mills has taken from attending the University of Iowa is a unique dental education where she was able to learn to perform a wide variety of procedures that encompass all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Mills has rotated through many different types of clinics to gain experience working with pediatric, geriatric and special needs patients, as well as learning from many different professionals. With this knowledge, Dr. Mills has learned how to adapt to new situations to provide the best care for her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Mills loves to run, hike and paddle board, as well as any other outdoor activity. For the past three years, she has also been enjoying aerial silks and trying any hobby that will keep her active.
